IFEAT is one of the few places where the whole chain sits in the same room. Producers, distillers, fragrance houses, perfumers and buyers all come together for a week, and the conversations there are usually more honest than anything you get over email.
Agarwood has an unusual position in this industry. It is one of the most valued naturals in perfumery, yet it is still poorly understood outside a small circle. Species, origin, resin quality, soaking time and distillation method all change the oil completely, and two oils from the same country can smell nothing alike. We think that gap between the material and the understanding of it is worth closing.
So we are coming to Bangkok to do three things. Show our oils and let people smell the difference for themselves. Talk openly about sourcing, CITES documentation and traceability, which matter more every year. And listen to what fragrance houses actually need from an agarwood supplier in Europe.
If you will be at IFEAT, get in touch and we will set up a meeting. You can reach us at info@aquiroma.com or connect with Khalid on LinkedIn.
